About This Blog

std::cout<< "Hello World!!\n";

I am Dr. Mohohlo Samuel Tsoeu (Sammy), a native Sotho speaker and multilingual individual. I am an Electrical Engineer (Control Systems, Instrumentation and Machine Learning) by specialized training, and a Researcher, Academic (Lecturer) and Scholar by employment and passion, at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. I am a strongly family oriented person; people-centered and I am highly sociable. One of my  grand aspiration is to touch lives and bring about positive change in people's lives and my environment.

This blog space is a place where I share my thoughts in an effort to gain better understanding, meaning purpose of the world around me, other people and most importantly, myself. My interests are - but not limited to - on the effective use of science, engineering and technology (SET) to address socio-economic problems and facilitate development and improvement of lives. Despite my narrow expertise, I am interested in taking a holistic view of the impact of SET's impact: technological excellence, economic benefit, ecological impact, legal implications, value chain and social impact. Occasionally, I may get completely tangent ideas and share them here :)

The ideas, thoughts and topics posted here are my own and not of my family, friends or employer. They are not intended to offend, discriminate against, marginalize or prejudice any person(s), their religion, culture, gender and sexuality... They are merely an outlet and a means to engage with the wider community on some of my thoughts.

My goal is to try and see eye2eye with the wider community/persons to enable me to effect positive change and contribute in improving all life around me, in my own little way.
